By using solidwasteguide.com you accept the terms below. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Information, Not Advice

Everything on this site is general information. It is not legal advice, engineering advice, environmental compliance advice, or medical advice, and no part of it creates a professional relationship between you and this site or its author.

Local Rules Govern, Not This Site

Waste and recycling rules in the United States are set at state, county and municipal level, and they differ between neighboring towns. Container sizes, weight limits, set-out times, clearance requirements, accepted materials and penalties are all local.

This site explains how these systems work and what to look for. It cannot tell you what your own program allows. Before you act on anything here, confirm it with your city or county waste department, or with your state environmental agency. Where the two disagree, your local program wins.

Specifications Change

Dimensions, weight limits and capacities on this site are taken from documents published by third parties — federal regulation, municipal programs, standards bodies, and manufacturers' specification sheets. Those documents are revised without notice, and fleets are replaced.

Figures here are accurate to the sources recorded at the time of writing. They are a baseline for checking a local quote or a local ordinance, not a guarantee of what any particular container measures or will be permitted to hold.

Hazardous Materials

Some pages discuss materials that are dangerous to handle, store, transport, or dispose of incorrectly: fuels, solvents, paints, aerosols, batteries, and others. The information is general and does not account for your quantity, your container, your location, or your local requirements.

Handling these materials is at your own risk. For anything you are unsure about, contact your local household hazardous waste program or your state environmental agency before you act. In an emergency — a spill, a leak, a fire risk, exposure — contact your local emergency services immediately rather than searching for an answer here.

No Warranty

This site is provided as it is. We work carefully, trace every figure to a source, and correct errors when we learn of them. We do not warrant that the content is complete, current, or free of error, and we do not warrant that the site will be available without interruption.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither this site nor its author is liable for any loss, injury, fine, penalty, property damage, or other damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the information here. You are responsible for verifying anything on which you intend to act.

Links to Other Sites

Pages here link to outside sources, mainly government agencies and municipal programs. Those sites are not under our control. A link is not an endorsement, and we are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, or their own privacy practices.

No Endorsements

This site does not recommend, rank, or endorse any hauler, rental company, manufacturer, or product, and it accepts nothing in exchange for a mention. Advertising, where it appears, is clearly an advertisement, is supplied by third-party networks, and is not a recommendation from this site. Where a commercial document is used as a source for a specification, it is recorded in the page's sources and the company is not named in the text.

Intellectual Property

The text on this site is original and belongs to its author. You may quote a short passage with attribution and a link. You may not republish pages or substantial parts of them, in any language, without written permission.

Photographs are used under the licenses of Unsplash and Pexels and are credited on the pages where they appear. Those credits are part of the license terms and must not be removed from any permitted reuse.

Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised. The effective date above shows the current version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Morocco, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not deprive you of any protection you have under the mandatory consumer law of your own country of residence.
