What Is Worth Writing About

A correction. If a figure, a dimension, or a rule on this site is wrong, tell us which page and what the correct source says. This is the most useful message we receive. Corrections are made and dated.

An outdated program. Several pages cite specifications published by named cities. Programs revise their fleets and their rules. If a program we cite now publishes different numbers, a link to the updated page is enough.

A source question. If you want to know where a specific figure came from, ask. Every page has a source list behind it.

A gap. If you looked for something here and it was not covered, that is worth knowing.

What We Cannot Help With

Pricing and quotes. We do not know what a container costs in your area, and we cannot find out.

Recommending a company. No haulers, no rental firms, no brands, under any circumstances.

Deciding for you. We can explain how sizes, weight limits and rules work. We cannot tell you which container to order for a job we cannot see.

Local rules. Your city or county waste department is the only authority on what it will collect. We cannot interpret your ordinance for you, and a wrong answer from us could cost you a fine.

Hazardous waste emergencies. If you have a spill, a leak, or a container you believe is dangerous, contact your local fire department or your state environmental agency. Do not wait for an email reply.
